Better for you

Ground Beef Is the Easiest Place in the Meat Case to Hide.

A steak comes from one animal. A pound of commodity ground beef can come from dozens, raised anywhere, finished on anything, and the label still just says beef. Ours comes from cattle that ate grass their whole lives on farms we can name, and instead of asking you to trust the sticker, we sent it to a lab.

Every figure below is from that testing, and the full panel is public. Read the Edacious results.

What grass-finished actually means here

Our cattle eat pasture and forage for life and finish on grass, never in a feedlot. No glyphosate, no antibiotics, no hormones, no mRNA.

That matters past the principle: what an animal eats in its last months is what sets the fat in the meat. Grain finishing loads beef with unstable omega-6 fat. Grass finishing does the opposite, and it shows up in the numbers.

Measured, not marketed

What an Independent Lab Found in Our Grind.

The clearest single read on beef is its fat. Edacious measured the ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 in REP ground beef against what the research reports for conventional grain-fed beef and for typical grass-fed. Lower is better, and the gap is not small.

Why we grind the organs in

The Most Nutritious Part of the Animal, Hidden in the Part You Already Cook.

Liver and heart carry more B12, heme iron, copper and CoQ10 than any steak on the animal, and almost nobody cooks them. So we stopped asking. At ten percent, ground into the beef, they disappear into a burger or a bolognese and the nutrition comes with them.

Nothing else about the grind changes. Same cattle, same grass, same price per pound.

How to pick a blend

New to organs? Start with Primal Blend 80/20. Ten percent is below the threshold where most people notice anything at all.

Already eating liver? Primal Blend Max runs four organs at fifteen percent and tastes it — richer, more mineral.

Cooking for skeptics? Use a blend anywhere the beef is seasoned and sauced. Chili and taco night are where it goes unnoticed.

Better for the land · American farms

Your Health Starts in the Soil. So Does Ours.

A grind this clean is downstream of how the ground is managed. Our farmer network grazes to rebuild prairie rather than mine it, on land certified Bird Friendly by Audubon, with registered monarch habitat on the ranch. All of it rural America. None of it imported, ever.

How it arrives

Frozen Solid, Packed in Dry Ice, at Your Door in Two to Three Days.

Every grind is portioned into 1 lb vacuum-sealed packs and frozen, then shipped by UPS or FedEx from our warehouse in Bixby, Oklahoma in an insulated box with dry ice. Shipping is free on meat orders over $175, which a 15 lb box clears on its own.

Add ShipInsure Package Protection at checkout and your order is guaranteed to arrive cold and covered if anything goes wrong in transit.

How much to order

A household cooking ground beef twice a week goes through roughly 8 lbs a month. A 20 lb box is about 2 months' worth for the average family, and vacuum-sealed beef holds at peak quality frozen for 12 months or more.

Putting your grinds on subscription is extremely convenient and saves 10% on every order, which adds up big over the year.

What People Say After the First Pound.

★★★★★

We have tried multiple vendors, and when I prepared a dish using REP ground beef we both stopped and said wow. The difference was noticeable immediately. This tastes like meat used to.

I've been getting the Primal Blend for a while and love it. I recently tried the Blend Max and it's amazing. I might have to switch to Max permanently.

Clean and fresh. It's tasty and the texture is great. It feels good to know where your beef comes from and that they are sustainable stewards of the planet.

Before your first box

The Questions Everyone Asks.

Is grass-fed ground beef better for your heart?

Our beef tests at roughly a 2:1 ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 where conventional grain-fed beef runs about 15:1, with most of its fat as stable monounsaturated fat and up to 80% less of the unstable polyunsaturated kind. Omega-3s are proven to be better for your health and your heart and we have more of them. Omega-6s are inflammatory fats and we have significantly fewer.

Those are measured values from an independent lab, and the full panel is published. What you do with them is your call, and worth a conversation with your own doctor.

Can I taste the organs in a Primal Blend?

At ten percent, almost nobody does. The blends read as slightly richer and a little more mineral than plain ground beef, which most people register as better beef rather than as liver. Primal Blend Max, at fifteen percent across four organs, is the one you can taste, and it's meant to be.

Why is every grind the same price?

Because the animal is the same animal. Organ blends cost more nearly everywhere else, which quietly taxes the most nutritious choice on the menu. We'd rather you pick by how you cook. Every grind is $15.50 a pound in every box size.

What does grass-fed and grass-finished mean at REP?

Our cattle eat pasture and forage for life and finish on grass, never in a feedlot. No glyphosate, no antibiotics, no hormones, no mRNA. Plenty of beef sold as grass-fed is finished on grain in the last months, which is exactly the period that sets the fat profile — so we test ours and publish what comes back.

How does it ship, and what does it cost?

Frozen, in 1 lb vacuum-sealed packs, via UPS or FedEx from Bixby, Oklahoma, in an insulated box with dry ice. Shipping is free on meat orders over $175; a few ZIP codes carry a surcharge. ShipInsure Package Protection is available at checkout and guarantees a cold, safe arrival.

How long does it keep?

Vacuum-sealed and frozen, 12 months or more at peak quality. Thaw a pack in the refrigerator overnight and cook it within a few days.

Do you sell it in bulk?

Boxes run 5, 10, 15 and 20 lbs at the same price per pound. If you want a freezer's worth of everything — grinds, steaks and roasts from one animal — that's a Beef Share, from 15 lbs up to a half beef.
