Pork Bones

Pork bones come from various parts of the pig, including the neck, spine, and leg bones, and are prized for their rich marrow and collagen content. In pho, these bones are simmered for hours to create a deeply flavorful, nutrient-rich broth that serves as the foundation of the dish.

Why REP Pork Bones?

Our pork bones bring a rich, natural flavor to your pho, while their regenerative sourcing supports a healthier planet. Perfect for nourishing your body and satisfying your taste buds.

Serve up this soul-warming dish and savor the delicious taste of better ingredients! 🌿

Store bought broths are typically watered-down and don't contain the large amounts of gelatin and collagen you will get from making your own. They can’t compete with the flavor, nutrition, and satisfaction of homemade bone broth.

Plus, when you use REP Provisions’ regeneratively sourced bones, you’re supporting a healthier planet and better farming practices.

Pasture-raised pork generally tastes better because the pigs have a more varied diet, including roots, grasses, and other forage, while also getting plenty of exercise from roaming freely outdoors, leading to a richer, more complex flavor compared to conventionally raised pigs confined to a limited diet in factory farms.

Modern conventional pigs were bred for leanness and not flavor. Factory farmed pigs have literally had the flavor bred out of them so they could say they were "the other white meat". Our pigs are heritage breeds like durocs & berkshires, their meat is well marbled with flavorful fat caps.

Key points about pasture-raised pork:

  • Diverse diet: Pigs on pasture can forage for a variety of plants, providing a wider range of nutrients and flavors compared to a grain-only diet.Ā
  • Exercise: Constant movement from roaming outdoors builds muscle and contributes to a better meat texture.Ā
  • Stress reduction: A more natural environment with less confinement generally leads to less stress on the animal, impacting meat quality.Ā
  • Nutritional profile: Pasture-raised pork can be higher in omega-3 fatty acids, considered beneficial for human health.Ā
