Ingredients You’ll Need:

  • 1 package of REP Provisions Beef Bones
  • 5 tbsp REP Provisions “Sea Salt & Smoked Paprika” seasoning blend
Additional Ingredients:
  • 1 large carrot, peeled and chopped
  • ½ large onion, peeled and halved
  • 1 tbsp salt (or to taste)
  • 4 quarts filtered water
Tools You’ll Need:
  • Knife
  • Crockpot or slow cooker
  • Stirring spoon
  • Storage jars
  • Colander + nut milk bag (or cheesecloth)

Step-by-Step Directions

  1. Combine Ingredients in the Pot:
    Place the beef bones and chopped veggies in your crockpot or slow cooker. Sprinkle with the Sea Salt & Smoked Paprika seasoning blend and salt. Cover with filtered water, ensuring the bones are completely submerged.

    When cooking is complete, strain the broth to remove solids. Use a colander to remove large bones and veggies, then strain again through a nut milk bag or cheesecloth into your storage jars. A funnel can help with pouring.
  4. Cool and Store:
    Allow the broth to cool quickly. Divide it into smaller jars for easy reheating. The broth will thicken as it cools due to the collagen content, and the fat will rise to the top—this is a good sign!
